Asakusa Shrine

Asakusa Shrine is right next to the main hall of Sensoji Temple.
Some visitors may not notice this place since it's relatively small in size.

But this shrine is the base of Sanja Matsuri ceremony.
Sanja Matsuri is one of the three greatest ceremony in Edo.

More than 1.5 million people come to see or join in this ceremony.

This is a good example of synchronization of Shinto and Buddhism.
In Japan, Shintoism and Buddhism have coexisted and amalgamated for a long time.
